04 Days / 03 Nights

DAY 1: PUNO. Reception and transfer to the hotel, time to settle in. Free afternoon. Overnight in Puno.

DAY 2: PUNO – UROS & TAQUILE (Breakfast included) At the scheduled time, a vehicle will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the Puno port, where around 9:00 AM you will board a regular boat and head towards the floating Uros Islands, arriving around 9:20 AM. It is said that the Uros have inhabited these islands for hundreds of years. The Uros people learned to use the abundant totora reeds to form large floating islands. Despite the passage of time, these ancient people still live on these man-made totora islands. Known as the “water tribe”, they must periodically rebuild and maintain their islands by adding new layers of reeds. Their homes and boats are made from the same material. After this interesting visit, around 9:30 AM, you will continue by boat to the natural island of Taquile (about 1.5 to 2 hours travel), arriving around 12:20 PM. Upon arrival, you will go to a local restaurant for a traditional lunch (Lunch included), which typically consists of quinoa soup, grilled trout or omelet with potatoes, rice, salad, and an herbal tea (muña infusion, a local plant). While enjoying your meal, you will admire the beautiful flora, fauna, and breathtaking views of the lake. After lunch, you will walk up to the main square of Taquile Island, which offers panoramic views of Lake Titicaca. Taquile is also renowned for its handmade textiles and crafts, which you will see displayed at the artisan center in the plaza. In the afternoon, around 2:30 PM, you will descend to the port and return to Puno by boat, arriving back at approximately 4:30 PM. A vehicle will be waiting to transfer you back to your hotel. Overnight in Puno.

DAY 3: PUNO – SILLUSTANI (Breakfast included) Visit to the Sillustani burial towers, one of the largest necropolises in the world. Surrounded by a stunning landscape, Sillustani is famous for its giant stone “chullpas” (funeral towers), built by the Colla and Inca civilizations to bury their dead. Located 34 km northwest of Puno (about a 50-minute drive) at an altitude of 3,840 meters above sea level, Sillustani dates back to the 12th century. The most imposing towers were built for important chiefs and priests. These ancient cultures believed cemeteries to be places of rest and rebirth, choosing beautiful, sacred locations for their construction.

DAY 4: PUNO – RETURN TO LIMA (Breakfast included) Free time to explore the city. At the appropriate time, transfer to the airport for your return flight to Lima.
