06 Days / 05 Nights

DAY 1: FLIGHT LIMA – CUSCO, CITY TOUR & 4 RUINS
Transfer to the airport to board our flight to the city of Cusco. Reception, welcome and transfer to the selected hotel. At the appropriate time (around 1:30 PM), pick up from the hotel for the city tour, where we will visit Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun), Santo Domingo Convent and Cusco’s Main Square. Then, we will visit the nearby archaeological park which includes: Sacsayhuaman, Q’enqo, Pukapukara, and Tambomachay. Return to the hotel. Overnight in Cusco.

DAY 2: CUSCO – MARAS & MORAY
We will start the day by picking you up from your hotel. In a tourist bus we will travel to the Urubamba Valley, where we will see the majestic Chicón Snow-Capped Mountain. Our first stop will be the picturesque town of Maras, where colonial-era façades and a beautiful church still remain. We will then visit the Moray Archaeological Complex, with its circular agricultural terraces used as an Inca agricultural laboratory. Finally, we will visit the Salt Mines—natural salt pools—which from a distance look like snow. In colonial times, they were the largest salt producer in the southern highlands. They have been used for thousands of years, even before the Inca Empire. Overnight in Cusco.

DAY 3: CUSCO – SACRED VALLEY
Breakfast. In the morning we will head to Pisaq to visit the archaeological complex and the traditional handicraft market. We will then follow the Vilcanota River to Urubamba for a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, we will visit Ollantaytambo, one of the last living Inca towns where the street layout remains unchanged since Inca times, and we will explore its magnificent archaeological complex. Overnight in Cusco.

DAY 4: CUSCO – MACHU PICCHU
Breakfast. At the appropriate time, transfer to the train station to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, we will take the bus to Machu Picchu citadel. We will have a guided tour of the sanctuary, visiting the agricultural zone, urban sector, the Temple of the Sun, stone quarries, botanical garden, main temple plaza, Temple of the Three Windows, the Intihuatana or solar clock, the sacred rock, and more. Afterwards, you will have free time to explore and take photos. At the end of the tour, return to the hotel. Overnight in Aguas Calientes.

DAY 5: HUMANTAY LAGOON
Pick up from your hotel between 4:30 and 5:00 AM. We will travel by tourist bus to Mollepata where we will have a delicious breakfast. We continue by bus for another hour to Soraypampa. From there, we will begin our hike, ascending for about 1 hour to the Humantay Lagoon. We will explore the area with views of Humantay Mountain in the Vilcabamba mountain range, accompanied by our guide who will explain this beautiful place. We will then begin our return hike to Soraypampa, where we will explore the Salkantay trail and enjoy views of the second-highest mountain in the region. Overnight in Cusco.

DAY 6: RETURN FLIGHT TO LIMA
At the appropriate time, transfer to the airport to board your return flight to Lima.
