16 Days/ 15 Nights

DAY 01: ARRIVAL IN LIMA Reception at the airport, welcome and transfer to the selected hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Lima.

DAY 02: LIMA CITY TOUR This tour begins with a panoramic visit to the Huaca Pucllana, a pre-Inca temple from the 4th century AD. Next, we visit the Central Reserve Bank Museum*, where we can admire exhibits of ancient Peruvian cultures. We enjoy a walk through the Main Square to see the Cathedral, Government Palace, and City Hall. We also visit the Santo Domingo Convent Museum. Finally, we enjoy an impressive view of the Pacific Ocean. *Central Reserve Bank Museum is closed to the public on Mondays and Sundays. Overnight in Lima.

DAY 03: LIMA – PARACAS – BALLESTAS ISLANDS At the scheduled time, transfer to the bus station to head to Paracas. Begin the Ballestas Islands tour from the Tourist Marina pier, boarding a speedboat for a 2-hour tour. During the trip, we will see panoramic views of Paracas Bay and the enigmatic figure “The Candelabra.” Continuing the tour, we head to the Ballestas Islands, three groups of rocky formations, natural habitat for a wide variety of resident and migratory birds. Overnight in Paracas.

DAY 04: PARACAS RESERVE – ICA – HUACACHINA The tour begins with a visit to the Paracas National Reserve Interpretation Center. We continue to the viewpoint of the former natural rock formation known as La Catedral, which was unfortunately destroyed by the 2007 earthquake. Then we visit the beaches of Playa Roja and Yumaque to enjoy the landscape and nature. In the afternoon, transfer to Ica. We will visit the Main Square of the city and tour the main streets of old and modern Ica. Then, we visit the Ica Regional Museum to appreciate the evolution of the region’s five most representative cultures: Paracas, Nasca, Wari, Ica Chincha, and Inca. Our guides will recommend the best places to taste and purchase traditional local sweets such as Tejas and Chocotejas. We will also visit a local winery for an explanation of how wine and pisco are made. Finally, we visit the Huacachina Lagoon, also known as “The Oasis of America,” to admire the stunning desert landscape. Optional: Buggy tour across impressive dunes and sandboarding. Overnight in Paracas.

DAY 05: PARACAS – NAZCA Breakfast. At the scheduled time, we will take a bus to the city of Nazca. Free afternoon and overnight in Nazca.

DAY 06: NAZCA – FLIGHT OVER THE LINES After breakfast, transfer to the Regional Airport of Nazca “María Reiche.” Assistance with check-in and security procedures for the flight over the Nazca Lines, where you will see the famous figures such as the Whale, Triangles, Trapezoids, Astronaut, Monkey, Dog, Condor, Spider, Hummingbird, among others. In the afternoon, transfer to the bus station for an overnight bus journey to the White City of Arequipa. Overnight on board.

DAY 07: AREQUIPA CITY TOUR + MONASTERY + MUSEUM Pick up from the hotel and transfer to the Carmen Alto viewpoint to observe the traditional Arequipeña countryside, with beautifully preserved terraces and stone walls surrounded by ancient pathways and the Chili River. Then, we visit the Yanahuara viewpoint with its arches and cobbled streets lined with old sillar (volcanic stone) mansions and typical orchards. The tour continues to the historic center to visit the iconic Cathedral, which has withstood several earthquakes, and its museum displaying valuable historical artifacts spanning more than 400 years. Next, we visit the Church of the Society of Jesus, known for its vivid and well-preserved murals and domes. Finally, we visit the Santa Catalina Monastery, built with white sillar from Chachani Volcano and pink sillar from Misti Volcano. The monastery is like a small city within the city of Arequipa, covering 20,000 square meters and historically isolated by high walls. Overnight in Arequipa.

DAY 08: AREQUIPA COLCA TOUR DAY 1 Pick up from the hotel and departure from Arequipa (2325 masl). We travel along the paved road towards Yura, crossing Pampa de Arrieros and Pampa Cañahuas, observing vicuñas, llamas, alpacas, and migratory birds. We stop at Patahuasi (Stone Forest) to enjoy coca tea to help acclimatize to the altitude. Continuing the journey, we see tocjras, small lagoons, wetlands, and migratory birds such as flamingos and coots. We reach Patapampa (4910 masl), known as “The Volcanoes Viewpoint,” where we can see several volcanoes such as Hualca Hualca, Sabancaya, Ampato, Misti, Chachani, Pichu Picchu, Ubinas, and extinct Chucura. We then descend to Chivay (3600 masl). Lunch and hotel check-in. Overnight in Colca.

DAY 09: AREQUIPA COLCA TOUR DAY 2 Breakfast at the hotel. Depart towards the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint, where we stay for approximately 2 hours to admire the Colca Canyon and the majestic flight of the condor at close range. On the way back, we make stops to take photos of small villages in the Colca Valley, archaeological remains, pre-Inca agricultural terraces, litho models, hanging tombs, and panoramic views of the canyon. We pass through the towns of Pinchollo, Maca (where you can taste the delicious Colca Sour, made with a local cactus fruit called Sancallo), Achoma, and Yanque, where we stop to see its typical church, craft center, and local traditional clothing. Return to Chivay for lunch, and then depart for Arequipa, arriving around 5:00 PM. Overnight in Arequipa.

DAY 10: AREQUIPA – CUSCO CITY TOUR Breakfast. At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport for the flight to Cusco. Reception, welcome, and transfer to the selected hotel. Rest of the morning free to acclimatize. At the scheduled time (around 1:30 PM), pick up from the hotel for the city tour, visiting the Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun) and Santo Domingo Convent, the Cathedral, and the main square of Cusco. Then, we visit the nearby archaeological sites: Sacsayhuaman, Q’enqo, Pukapukara, and Tambomachay. Return to the hotel. Overnight in Cusco.

DAY 11: CUSCO – SACRED VALLEY + LUNCH Breakfast. In the morning, we head to Pisaq to visit the archaeological complex and the traditional handicraft market. We continue along the Vilcanota River to Urubamba for a delicious lunch. Then, we visit Ollantaytambo, one of the last living Inca towns, where the streets still follow the original Inca layout. We explore the impressive archaeological complex. Overnight in Cusco.

DAY 12: CUSCO – MACHU PICCHU Breakfast. At the scheduled time, transfer to the train station to Aguas Calientes. We take a bus up to Machu Picchu citadel for a guided tour of the sanctuary. We will visit the agricultural zone, urban sector, Temple of the Sun, stone quarries, botanical garden, Temple Plaza, the Three Windows, the Intihuatana (sundial), the Sacred Rock, among other areas. After some free time for photos and exploration, return to the hotel. Overnight in Aguas Calientes.

DAY 13: CUSCO Breakfast. Free day to explore the city on your own. Overnight in Cusco.

DAY 14: TOURIST BUS CUSCO – PUNO Pick up from the hotel at 6:30 AM to start the beautiful journey to Puno aboard a modern tourist bus with a bilingual guide. During the trip, we visit: – **Andahuaylillas (3122 masl):** A charming town of about 5,000 inhabitants with a picturesque main square and its famous colonial church, possibly built on an Inca site. – **Raqchi (3450 masl):** An Inca archaeological site known for the Temple of Wiracocha, an enormous two-story rectangular structure measuring 92 meters long by 25.5 meters wide. – **La Raya Pass (4335 masl):** The highest point of the journey, offering beautiful Andean landscapes and views of llamas and alpacas. – **Pukara Museum (3900 masl):** Known for its ancient ceramic tradition and archaeological remains from the Pukara culture, dating back to 1600 BC. Buffet lunch included in a local restaurant in Sicuani. Arrival in Puno. Overnight in Puno.

DAY 15: PUNO: UROS – TAQUILE Our tour starts at 6:45 AM with a transfer to the main port. At 7:15 AM, we begin sailing towards the Uros Floating Islands, part of the Lake Titicaca National Reserve, the highest navigable lake in the world. Our guide will explain the Uros’ culture and traditions, including artisanal fishing and bird hunting. There are 115 islands currently inhabited. After this visit, we sail for about 2.5 hours to the natural island of Taquile. The Taquileños are known for their advanced textile art, recognized by UNESCO, and for maintaining traditional life. The men weave from the age of eight, while women spin and dye wool. We will have around 2 hours to explore the island and 1 hour for a typical lunch (included). After the visit, we return to Puno, arriving around 5:00 PM. Overnight in Puno.

DAY 16: PUNO – RETURN TO LIMA Breakfast. Free time to enjoy your stay in Puno. At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport for the return flight to Lima.
