06 Days / 05 Night

DAY 01.- LIMA IN
Arrival in the city of Lima, reception and transfer to your selected hotel. Rest of the day free. On this day we can recommend some restaurants so you can enjoy the exquisite Peruvian cuisine. Overnight in Lima.

DAY 02.- LIMA – CITY TOUR
This tour begins with a panoramic view of Huaca Pucllana, a pre-Inca temple from the 4th century AD. Then, we visit the Central Reserve Bank Museum*, where we admire exhibits of ancient Peruvian cultures, with a select collection of gold objects, ceramics, textiles from various pre-Columbian cultures, and the Cohen Gold Collection.

Enjoy a walk through the Main Square to see the Cathedral, Government Palace, and City Hall. We will also visit the Santo Domingo Convent Museum. Finally, we will enjoy an impressive view of the Pacific Ocean. *BCRP Museum closed to the public on Mondays and Sundays. Overnight in Lima.

DAY 03.- FLIGHT LIMA – AREQUIPA + CITY TOUR
Transfer from your hotel to the airport to take your flight to the city of Arequipa. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to your selected hotel. Rest of the morning free for acclimatization. Pick up from the hotel and transfer to Carmen viewpoint to observe the Arequipa countryside. Then, we visit the Yanahuara viewpoint. We continue to the historic center of the city to visit the Santa Catalina Monastery, built with two types of volcanic stone: white ashlar from Chachani Volcano and pink ashlar from Misti Volcano, the emblem of the city. Afterwards, we visit the Andean Sanctuaries Museum, home to “Juanita, the Ice Maiden”, discovered on Mount Ampato and displayed with her ceremonial attire as a highlight of the museum. Overnight in Arequipa.

DAY 04.- AREQUIPA – COLCA CANYON TOUR
Pick up from the hotel and departure from Arequipa. We head towards Yura and then reach Patahuasi (stone forest), where we will enjoy a coca tea to help acclimatize to the altitude. We will see lagoons, wetlands, and migratory birds such as flamingos, coots, etc. We will then arrive at the highest point of the route, “The Volcanoes Viewpoint”; we descend to the town of Chivay. Lunch and accommodation at the hotel. Overnight in Colca.

DAY 05.- AREQUIPA – COLCA / CRUZ DEL CÓNDOR
In the morning, breakfast at the hotel and then departure to the Cruz del Condor, where we will stay for approximately 2 hours. You will appreciate the Colca Canyon and see the condors flying at close range. On the return, we will make several stops to take photos in small towns of the Colca Valley and see archaeological remains, pre-Inca agricultural terraces, litho models, hanging tombs, and other panoramic views of the canyon. We will pass through the towns of Pinchollo and Maca (where you can taste the delicious Colca Sour). Arrival in Chivay. Overnight in Arequipa.

DAY 06.- AREQUIPA – RETURN FLIGHT TO LIMA
Breakfast. At the appropriate time, transfer to the airport for your return flight to Lima.
