USER RESPONSIBILITY

ATAWALLPA PERU TRAVEL will consider the information entered by the User or Registered User at the time of booking as valid, assuming it has been entered correctly (first surname and name) as it appears on their valid and current identification document (ID / DNI / Passport or Foreigner Card).
Once the service(s) have been reserved and paid for, corrections and/or modifications are not possible. Prices are expressed in US dollars, converted using the current exchange rate in Peruvian soles, and are subject to availability and/or while supplies last.
These conditions apply to the itinerary and travel dates as requested and designated by the User and/or client.
Being of legal age is a mandatory requirement to purchase services through our website.

QUOTES AND PAID BOOKINGS

When sending a quote (budget based on a request), ATAWALLPA PERU TRAVEL will send the estimated price in US dollars using the current exchange rate in soles. The amount payable will be clearly detailed and includes the net rate, applicable taxes, and ATAWALLPA PERU TRAVEL’s service fee.
Once the client accepts the quoted amount, they are responsible for making the payment using the available methods. While ATAWALLPA PERU TRAVEL will strive to honor prices until the ticket and/or service is issued, prices may vary if they are no longer valid with providers or if stock has run out.
ATAWALLPA PERU TRAVEL will use all available means to inform the passenger and/or registered user of any price changes. Prices will not change once the product or service is confirmed as paid.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR TRAVEL

The client, as a consumer and/or service user, is responsible for obtaining and verifying any documentation needed for travel based on their itinerary. This includes checking if a passport, visas, vaccinations, or permits for minors are required for the destination or transit countries.
The client is fully responsible for managing these requirements. ATAWALLPA PERU TRAVEL cannot be held liable for issues arising from the lack of required documents, including entry or exit refusals in any country.

For Domestic Travel in Peru

  • Peruvian passengers must have a valid National Identity Document (DNI).

  • Foreigners must carry a valid Passport or Foreigner ID.

  • Minors can travel with one parent. If traveling alone or with a third party, notarized authorization must be obtained.

For International Travel

  • Passengers must present a valid passport (minimum 6-month validity upon completion of the trip). In the Andean Community countries, travel with DNI is allowed.

  • Minors require notarized or judicial travel authorization if not traveling with both parents.

Note on Airlines:
Airlines define age limits for unaccompanied minor travel and determine if a minor assistance service is required. Always confirm with the airline prior to booking.

VACCINATIONS

Travelers must verify health requirements for their destination in advance.
Yellow Fever vaccination is often required and should be administered at least 10 days before travel; it provides protection for up to 10 years.
COVID-19 vaccination requirements should be verified with the Peruvian Ministry of Health (MINSA) or relevant authority.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Purchasing travel insurance is strongly recommended to cover emergencies abroad, as medical care can be expensive.

Conditions:

  • Contact the emergency numbers provided to activate assistance, using your policy number.

  • If a guarantee letter is needed, processing may take 24–48 hours.

  • Pre-existing conditions may be excluded (consult your insurer).

  • Keep all receipts in case reimbursement is needed.

  • Read your insurance policy carefully for coverage, limitations, and exclusions.

Date Change:

  • Requests must be made at least 48 hours before the insurance policy becomes active.

Reimbursement Requests:

  • Must be submitted to ATAWALLPA PERU TRAVEL at least 48 business hours in advance.

  • Acceptable reasons include visa denial and emergency health issues, with supporting documents.

If no travel insurance is purchased, ATAWALLPA PERU TRAVEL is not liable for any problems that may occur before, during, or after the trip. Claims for incidents without insurance will not be accepted.

REIMBURSEMENTS AND/OR CANCELLATIONS

Reimbursement conditions are governed by the policies of the providers of tourist services and/or products. If a cancellation or refund request is made, penalty charges may apply depending on the provider’s terms. In many cases, services such as air tickets, train tickets, or entrance tickets (e.g., Machu Picchu) are non-refundable and non-changeable once issued.

To request a cancellation or refund, the user must:

  • Submit the request in writing to ATAWALLPA PERU TRAVEL with clear reasoning.

  • Include all supporting documents (e.g., medical reports, flight cancellations, etc.).

  • Wait for the response from the provider or supplier; processing times and outcomes depend entirely on them.

ATAWALLPA PERU TRAVEL will assist in the process but does not guarantee approval or reimbursement.

MODIFICATIONS AND/OR RESCHEDULING

If the user wishes to change dates, names, or any travel details, this request must be:

  • Submitted in writing to ATAWALLPA PERU TRAVEL.

  • Sent at least 72 hours in advance, depending on the type of service.

Important: Not all services allow changes, and if they do, they might incur additional charges or availability limitations. Changes are always subject to the policies of the airline, train service, lodging, or other providers.

ATAWALLPA PERU TRAVEL will provide the client with available options and their respective costs.

SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS OR FORCE MAJEURE

ATAWALLPA PERU TRAVEL is not responsible for interruptions, cancellations, or modifications of the travel itinerary caused by:

  • Acts of nature (earthquakes, landslides, floods, etc.).

  • Social unrest (strikes, protests, road blockades, etc.).

  • Delays or changes by transportation companies or service providers.

  • Illnesses or health emergencies of the traveler.

In such cases, ATAWALLPA PERU TRAVEL will do its best to offer alternative solutions, but any additional cost must be covered by the traveler.

All complaints or claims must be:

  • Submitted in writing to ATAWALLPA PERU TRAVEL.

  • Include a detailed description of the issue and supporting documents (photos, receipts, etc.).

  • Filed within 48 hours after the service is rendered or the incident occurs.

ATAWALLPA PERU TRAVEL will evaluate the case and provide a response within a reasonable period.
